I used to buy this toothpaste for years for my son and I used it myself sometimes as well since it doesn't leave that 'pasty' toothpaste taste behind. So I went and stocked up on 10 tubes to last a while and noticed the new package design.

This may sound ridiculous, but we have had better luck with this average tasting toothpaste than with those that tasted like candy. My son doesn't swallow the toothpaste and the tube lasts much longer now. I have bought 10 different brands of toothpaste for my 3 year old toddler and the Jason Strawberry toothpaste has proven to work the best.
I was looking for the most natural, safe, effective, and fluoride free option because my son was swallowing the toothpaste and making a mess along the way. This is certainly not the best tasting toothpaste but it isn't that bad either. However, because it does not taste as good as the mainstream blue colored brands, my toddler has stopped eating the toothpaste. He brushes his teeth now and doesn't use an incredible amount on his toothbrush either. The blue colored toothpaste products also left a terrible mess everywhere and I love that this one is clear colored so it isn't as messy.
We prefer this strawberry flavor and keep it on subscribe and save every month. We use (1) 4.2 ounce tube every 30 days brushing 3 times a day and my son just had a check up at the dentist with no cavities and no signs of gum issues.

Not for kids only! I got this for my kids and decided to try it myself, and think I have found my new toothpaste. It leaves my mouth feeling clean for hours. Literally, hours later my mouth still feels so clean! I wouldn't say this is the 100% most natural option because of the foaming agents, but I like my mouth feeling super clean and I can spit those foaming agents out. I've tried the non-foaming toothpastes and my mouth doesn't feel as clean. I do like the rest of the ingredient list with ingredients like calcium carbonate (some natural toothpastes don't contain this), xylitol (anti-cavity without fluoride), calendula, aloe to name a few of the good things. I like the taste too. I like that it does not contain carrageenan like other JASON toothpastes have. This is the clear winner.

We have used many Jason products safely and have become a fan. However, there is something with these new formulas for kids' toothpaste that is going the wrong path. We have noticed allergic reactions.

The ingredients are: Glycerin, aqua (purified water), silica, xylitol, xanthan gum, panthenol, aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, calendula officinalis flower extract, calcium carbonate, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, natural flavor * certified organic vegetable source. It seems that we might be allergic to sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, which is used in lieu of sodium lauryl sulfate as a replacement surfactant.

For future orders we shall cross off this toothpaste in our shopping list.

My Autistic son is 6 and It is so hard to find a toothpaste that will not gag him. This toothpaste smells and taste like a cleaning product. I understand it is a natural orange flavor but it didn't work for my son unfortunately. Giving 3 stars because its a natural product but taking away stars for the unpleasant taste.

Awesome fluoride free kids toothpaste. Tastes great and does the job of teeth cleaning. Plus, fantastic price! The kids are happy, as is my pocketbook.

I can't say I'm in love with the taste of this product, but it's not bad. It's a mild orange flavor that's got a little bit of a funky undertone but leaves little to no aftertaste once I rinse. I prefer the strawberry flavor, personally. I haven't been using it long enough to know whether or not it's actually preventing cavities, but my teeth are feeling pretty clean and I think that's really the bigger part of the battle. If you can get the plaque and bacteria off of your teeth, it probably doesn't matter what you clean them with--regular old soap would probably get the job done, but this tastes much better than that and does have xylitol in it, which is supposed to help prevent cavities. Give it a try if you're curious.
