Okay I absolutely love this thing. When I ordered them thought they were shorter, but they are actually very long and can hold a few items as far as art work, important papers, etc. I used one for my 4 year old sons room to hold his magnetic dry erasers. They look great. As mentioned in precious reviews the magnets(They come with) are really tiny and not for kids to mess with but they are very strong and can hold just about anything (paper wise) and I'm using them in my room.

FYI: This is not a magnet it just hold magnetic items. I would highly recommend.

These are great - used several to display kids artwork. Attached to wall using Velcro adhesive.

I'm actually really happy with this-- The strip is just metal-- it's not very thick (so not very heavy) and comes with screws and those little plastic things you use with screws in drywall. The magnets are TINY though-- by tiny-- I mean very, very thin. They are strong and I have no worries they wont be able to hold my papers-- But I plan to glue something bigger to them so I don't lose them. They also seem a bit fragile because they are so thin.

I am hanging this at work and decided, once I opened the package and saw how thin the magnets were, to bring them all home again to bulk them up-- so I took them all off and was sticking them together so I wouldn't lose them, and because they are so strong, they were sort of banging together when I stuck them together -- they have plenty of pull!-- but one of them cracked in two when it hit the next magnet-- So they aren't the sturdiest thing. Once I got them all stuck together, they were very hard to pull apart (you actually have to slide them sideways--)

Anyway-- so the orange part, not magnetic, just metal. (It seems that was an issue for a lot of people-- but as long as my stuff can stick to the wall, I don't care which part is magnetic and which part is metal)

Exactly what i wanted. The magnets are surprisingly strong. This is mostly a pro but I have small kids and it's a con for me. It doesn't lower the review but I wanted to provide a picture for others to see how tiny they are. We are usung this for alphbet magnets.

I wanted to hang a bunch of pictures but I wanted something that did not damage the prints at all, and also something that soothed my low-commitment soul. I found it. This is perfect. It looks wonderful. It comes with plenty of magnets. The only suggestion I have for you is to, like, take a measure. I read the description and all, but when it arrived I was still all,

The metal strip that goes on the wall is fine. It's a very flat piece of metal that has screws and screw holes to mount it to the wall. But the magnets that come with it are really small, much smaller than a dime. They only hold single sheets of paper or photographs and things with very little weight. I wanted to hang a 12 month wall calendar, and they weren't able to hold it on the wall, even when I used all of them. And, they are small enough that I didn't like trying to handle them, so I threw the magnets away and bought stronger, bigger ones. Basically, I bought a thin strip of metal for $20, which maybe wasn't the best product for my purpose.

Just as expected, instead of drilling two holes, I used the 3M hanging strips. look great in the kids room for their artwork, paired with fun clip magnets. The included magnets are powerful, but very tiny so I wasn't comfortable allowing the kids to have them around the house as they're young!
